There is No Such Thing as Impossible

Join Us!
Being the parent of a dyslexic child is a gift, an often frustrating one, especially in the hours after school. Broken pencils, ripped papers, shouting matches... all familiar to parents with kids that struggle to read. But, its not your fault and its not your child's fault. Dyslexia is a brain based learning disability, and along with it come some pretty special abilities.... creativity in spades, free thinking, reasoning, logic, multi-dimensional thinking, and a heck of a lot more.

For dyslexic kids, school is often like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Trying to fit into a family with high expectations can be tough too.

Our group is by parents for parents to lighten the load a little, share experiences and best practices, and learn to navigate the sometimes daunting educational frontier.

So, do something good for yourself and your kid this month and check us out. We're free and open to any parent with a struggling reader. Ask questions, raise concerns, bring your joys, or just vent your frustrations. We meet Monday, January 26, in the Trustee Room from 6 - 8 PM at the Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler Street.
